On Tuesday, October 20, Wine & Dine heads back to Piemonte. This time we're welcoming Paitin, one of Barbaresco's historic producers. The Pasquero-Elia family has farmed the hills of Neive for generations, with their first Barbaresco bearing the family name and vineyard of origin dating all the way back to 1893.
At the heart of Paitin is Serraboella, one of Neive's defining crus and home to the family's Sorì Paitin. Their approach remains firmly Piedmontese: Nebbiolo, time, and a general reluctance to mess with what the vineyard already got right. Luca Elia will be joining us from Piemonte for the evening, pouring the wines and sharing the stories behind more than a century of Barbaresco.
Chef Devon Capocelli will serve a four-course dinner, with each course paired with a Paitin wine selected to meet it at the table. Piemonte on the plate, Piemonte in the glass. Nice when things work out like that.
Join us at 5:30 PM for a welcome pour and conversation with Luca.
Dinner begins at 6 PM.
$140 per person
21+ only. Nebbiolo is famously bad with children.
Seating is communal, because after four glasses of Piedmontese wine, introductions tend to take care of themselves.
Dietary note: We do our best to accommodate. Vegetarian and pescatarian guests can be taken care of, but if you're vegan or avoiding gluten or dairy, this particular dinner may not be your night. We still think you're great.
Prices exclude tax & gratuity.
