On Wednesday, April 15th, the Garden Cathedral once again transforms into our temple of bitter delights for Bittersweet Alchemy: Volume V. Expect finely tuned dishes, thoughtfully paired cocktails, and an atmosphere that suggests someone around here actually planned the evening.

For this installment we’re teaming up with the brilliant folks at Fast Penny Spirits, makers of some of the Pacific Northwest’s most compelling amari. Joining us will be founder and CEO Jamie Hunt, who will be on hand to talk botanicals, bitterness, and the fine art of making spirits that make your face do that pleasantly puzzled thing.

For the evening, Chef Devon Capocelli has assembled a four-course dinner designed to dance with the bitter side of the spectrum, while cocktails crafted by General Manager Jayson Kochan showcase Fast Penny’s distinctive amari in all their complex, herbaceous glory. The result is the kind of midweek affair that might just recalibrate what you thought a Wednesday night should taste like.
